This opportunity is third shift, the hours are 6pm-4am.
The salary range for this opportunity is $75,000-$80,000/year.
Summary:
TheCupPackOutManageris responsiblefor overseeing the daily operations of thesecond and third-shift cup packaging lines, ensuring that production targets aremet with thehighest standardsof safety, quality, and efficiency. This roleleadsamulti-shift team, manages equipment throughputand drivescontinuous improvement initiatives through 5S and Leanmanufacturingprinciples.
Duties:
- OperationalLeadership:Direct and coordinate the daily activities of theCupPackOut department to meet production schedules and customerdemand.
- Quality&FoodSafety:Ensure100% compliancewithFSQstandards, labeling requirements, and SQF/HACCP regulations.Always maintain
audit-ready
status.
- PerformanceOptimization:Monitor Key PerformanceIndicators(KPIs)suchas
- OEE, scrap rates, material waste,and labor variance.Implement strategies tominimizedowntime.
- SafetyManagement:Foster a"Safety First" culture. Conduct regularsafety
audits, lead accident investigations, and ensure all teammembers are trainedonLOTO and machine guardingprotocols.
- PersonnelDevelopment:Manage staffing levels,recruitment, and training forPack OutLeads andSupervisors. Conduct performance reviewsandprovideongoing coaching and mentorship.
- ContinuousImprovement:Lead 5S workplace organization initiatives.Utilizeroot-cause analysis(e.g., 5-Why) toresolve operational bottlenecks anddowntimeissues.
- Inventory&ResourcePlanning:Coordinate with Scheduling and Warehouse
teams to ensure all packaging materials(cups, lids,labels, Boxes)arestagedandavailable for productionruns.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversight and accountability for all shifts with 2-4 department Supervisors per shift. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Departmental responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor?s degree in OperationsManagement,Engineering, or arelated field(orequivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment, preferably in Food & Beverage.
- Demonstrated experience managing automated packagingequipmentandconveyor systems.
- Proficiency inERP systems andMicrosoft Office(Excel,PowerPoint).
- Knowledge ofLEAN, 6 Sigma
